Our Saturday this weekend took us to a little trip down Trevaskis farm. Was a pretty decent day weather wise and we knew the kids would love grabbing some strawberries for after tea at Trevaskis. We headed down and grabbed our punnets and then found the strawberry poly-tunnel so the kids could find all the strawberries they could ever want for their dessert later.
As you can see its a place that lends itself for photographs, hence why I took along my nikon and a 35mm lens. These leading lines were fun to play with and I got a few great shots of my kids picking strawberries and playing around the farm. Trevaskis isn't far from Hayle and St Ives and is a lovely place if you're looking for veg, cheese or meats as well as having a great restaurant for a sunday lunch or to have one of their amazing massive slices of cake.
Having the strawberry rows in a poly was hot and humid and they had ten of them lined up with tons of strawberry plants in these planters on top of posts. If I'm honest I haven't seen them done like this before but obviously a good way of growing them and having different poly-tunnels for the coming months ahead.
My son loved the taste of the strawberries and I think we were all happy to have them last night for our tea. We had a great adventure and had a look around the rest of the farm whilst we were there.
A couple of places on the farm held great spots for some fun storytelling portraits, I like this one above in particular as I know when I was a child you just have to see what's round the corner or through the door if you can only partially see what's inside.
I always remember playing with a stick when I was little so love this last image of him playing with a stick as he waits for the rest of the family to catch up. Was a great day in all and we very much enjoyed munching on the strawberries later that evening.
If you're looking for children's or adult portraits don't hesitate to get in touch and set up a session.
